James
Tim Younger

Tim has been involved in amateur theatre for many years. Recent roles have included Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Gratiano in The Merchant of Venice (for Oxford Theatre Guild), Bernardo in West Side Story, Guiseppe in The Gondoliers, and Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls (Oxford Operatic Society), Acres in The Rivals and Camillo in The Winter's Tale (ODT Productions), and Macduff in Macbeth (Tomahawk).

Tim is a founder member of Cakes & Ale, a touring company staging outdoor productions of Shakespeare across Oxfordshire and beyond. He has also played Pheidippides in a new translation of Aristophanes' Clouds, performed in Edinburgh and Rome.

In 2005, Tim worked on two projects for BBC Oxford: Who Killed Warren Taylor?, an internet-based murder mystery game; and The Writers, a new radio play.

With most of his experience being on stage, Tim enjoyed being in front of the camera for a change in Hooked On A Ceiling, and he looks forward to similar projects in the future - if only to experience some more exotic locations, like the park tree and the pub shed.

David says: When writing the part of James, I hadn't had an actor in mind, so kept my eagle eye out at local productions. I had seen Tim on stage a few times in Oxford and was in no doubt he was a contender. For the character of James I needed someone who thought he was hard, but was in fact useless. 'Nuff said.
